Overview
Ford's hybrid and electric trucks use an external pedestrian speaker that beeps like a garbage truck in reverse and hums like a UFO under 20 mph in electric mode. Fine in a parking lot, not so great when you're creeping into a hunting spot before sunrise.
This plug-and-play module bypasses the speaker without dash errors. It's fully potted, uses marine-grade wire and genuine OEM connectors, terminals and seals, and installs in about 5 minutes on most F-150s. Unplug it and the truck is back to stock.

Used on a 2nd gen Maverick, 2025 model. Well the instructions are not good for the second gen model. I tried accessing the speaker through the wheel well but it's ridiculously far and hidden, there is no way to do it. It's also not accessible from the bottom of the car or through the engine bay. You have to remove the front bumper (find a YouTube tutorial), and it's really not that hard to be honest. The product is made really well and works as advertised. No error codes on the screen. Since you're already removing the front bumper, I suggest just taking out the speaker since it won't be used.

The external speaker bypass is wonderful. I received in a timely matter and it took about 15 min to install. It works great and there are no error codes. Now I don’t feel like everyone is watching me when I am backing the boat down the ramp🤣. I think Ford should have an option to turn it on and off by the driver. But I am glad MegaOhm provides this option. Thank you.

If you’re annoyed by the loud backup “bonk, bonk, bonk” and fake “engine” sound on your Ford, you NEED this device. I installed it on my 2021 F-150 several years ago and it is still working to this day!! This is a highly recommended fix that actually works as advertised. Super easy to install and you don’t need to be a mechanic or have specialized tools. One of the least expensive mods that you can do and one you continue to enjoy for years to come. I highly recommend it! Don’t think twice. Buy it!
I normally don’t write reviews but this speaker bypass kit is a 10/10! Ford’s location to get to the speaker is a little tight but once the harness is disconnected, this is super simple to install. Plug in and go! Didn’t cause any warning lights on the dash. Highly recommend.

This Ford external bypass improved my early morning departures 100%. I head in to work at 3:00 AM, and the factory speaker used to wake up half the block. Now I can leave quietly without bothering anyone. Easy fix and highly recommended!
Works like a charm. I’m happy and the neighbors are happy that my truck doesn’t sound like garbage pickup day at 5:30am when I back out of the driveway. Also, there was a shipping issue with the post office. Their customer service took care of everything.
